2024 BGSA SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT: Mutya Benedicto
This year our recipient is a young lady who has been a player with the BGSA since she was 11 years old. She has played in all levels of this game and is currently on our U19 Rep team. In addition to being a player, this athlete has also volunteered her time to help run clinics for younger age divisions and has also provided catcher training as well.
This athlete encompasses all the values we look for in someone who represents our organization. She is always positive, encouraging, works really hard and truly encompasses what a team captain is with great leadership skills and compassion. With a graduating average of 81.2%, she has entered her post-secondary education in the field of Honour Degree Bachelor of Social Science Criminal Justice. She has also earned a spot on the Humber Hawks team and we are confident that she will excel on that team as well. We are confident that she will bring all her positivity, work ethic and leadership skills to her studies and career in the future.
It is with great pleasure that we award this year’s Scholarship to Mutya Benedicto.
