The BGSA has been a Brampton tradition since 1972, and provides competitive fastpitch softball for hundreds of girls and young women in Brampton. The BGSA is the most successful girls’ softball association in Ontario, offering various levels of competitive play. Brampton is home to the Blazers - Ontario’s premier fastpitch program! Our program provides comprehensive training and a dedication to player development unparalleled in Ontario. Our teams travel throughout Southern Ontario for league play and compete in elite tournaments, showcasing their talent, across Canada and the U.S.A. The Blazers also host a large annual tournament, in every age group, on diamonds across the city. Our teams compete in Regional finals, Provincial Championships and represent Ontario at the Canadian Nationals.
As well as our commitment to on field success, the Brampton Blazers are equally committed to “Life skills off the diamond”. The leadership program is a part of the “Blazer Way”, and focuses on youth development, building character, and nurturing self confidence. The Blazer Way encourages and guides the girls in revealing their own individual brilliance. We’re proud of our mentoring program - designed to support and encourage the girls to be the best young ladies they can be. The program begins with the Diamond Divas grass roots boot camps. The camps are open to house league players, and are run by the girls in the Blazers program – providing an opportunity to “give back”.
